Dr Peter Davis Specialist Endodontics

A root canal treatment is one of the most complex dental procedures carried out. This treatment can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for bridges or dental implants. As a registered Specialist Endodontist with the General Dental Council, Dr Davis is in a position to provide an exceptional level of care in root canal treatment using the latest proven technology which can result in the long term retention of the tooth in question.

Peter Davis is originally from the Southwest, having gone to Primary and Secondary School in Cornwall. Peter qualified in 1997 from Guys' Hospital Dental School. He obtained his Master of Restorative Dentistry in Endodontology (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was awarded a distinction in his Master of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology (MClinDent) from the University of London. As such he is the only Specialist Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist) with these qualifications working in Devon and Cornwall.


He is currently a Postgraduate Tutor on the endodontology postgraduate program at Kings College London. He combines this with working in private practice in The Crescent Specialist Dental Centre in Plymouth and The River Practice in Truro.

The Crescent Specialist Centre and The River Practice are multi-disciplinary specialist referral practices which offer an exceptional standard of care for patients' treatment needs. Peter works closely with the referring general dental practitioners and fellow specialists in ensuring the best possible results are achieved for patients.
